Here we just lazed on the beach next to the boat and then had a quick whizz through the old town to buy an ice-cream. Very pretty, but we needed to rest here. there are urchins underfoot, so you need to bring with river shoes.

I loved this port! Korcula was such a gorgeous island and I could've spent a week in that port alone. The restaurants and wine bars were fantastic (so was the gelato!), the shopping was great, the architecture was beautiful. I can't say enough good about it. I think my favorite part of the day was spending an hour or so snorkeling along the walls of the city. The water was so clear and clean, but there are urchins EVERYWHERE so make sure you wear water shoes or something to cover your feet! Read Less

Favorite Port! Our excursion was cancelled due to weather and this was for the best. Loved walking around this beautiful town, climbing the church tower and enjoying lunch on the waterfront promenade with the local Posip wine

Weakest stop in an otherwise wonderful set of ports. We walked around Old Town for an hour or two, saw the church, found a grocery, and went back early.

I've always been fascinated with Marco Polo's adventures. Korcula claims to be his birthe place and I’d read that they opened a multimedia exhibition of his life in 2012; that was our primary goal. I was expecting a newer building just outside the walls but found a small old building. We paid our 120DK, got our audio guide, and started up a dark, narrow wooden staircase. The multi-floored exhibit is meant to make you feel that you are on a ship. The entire exhibit consists of four well-done dioramas, but the only multimedia is the audio guide. So you are standing in front of these life-size compact dioramas for about 10 minutes each listening to a good story; actually pretty funny. Read Less

We didn't take the group excursion, we went by ourselves and we discover that Korcula is amazing, and beautiful, one of my favorite destinations of the cruise.

A small walled town on a lovely island. Great views, easily walk-able except for getting up to the cathedral. Relaxing, shady promenade on mostly level ground. Only drawback: tacky Marco Polo souvenirs.

Pleasant but skip-able. Seriously, the cats looked like they'd had enough of lazing in the sun and needed something to do. Tendering was not difficult, and the town is easily walk-able. The attractions aren't special enough to ... Read More
Pleasant but skip-able. Seriously, the cats looked like they'd had enough of lazing in the sun and needed something to do. Tendering was not difficult, and the town is easily walk-able. The attractions aren't special enough to make this a destination I'd recommend, but it made for a relaxing day, especially as Korcula wasn't crowded. Read Less

Only chose to spend half the day here. Not much to see and do in the main town, so it is quick to go through all the sites.
