Bus takes you to different villages where you can spend one hour or more with coupons for snacks. Walk about at your own pace, have lunch, etc and then reboard a bus for the next village. Buses run every hour. ...

We booked our own excursion with a local operator to visit the Postjana Caves. This trip was amazing the caves are the largest in Europe. We all thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Be prepared and come dressed in warm clothing as year round it is 10degrees inside the cave. You can however hire warm cloaks for 3 euro per person to stay warm. Day 3, Koper, Slovenia Off ship, into lift on dockside and you are in the town, 2 mins walk to the old town main square. Lovely clean place, worth going inside the old tower (3 euros) lots of metal steps to climb, about 50m, great views at the top. The buildings in this part are very old, loads of little alleyways with gift shops. Coffee is about 1 euro (stark contrast to Rome), plenty of places ...

Koper is fairly small and will only take a couple of hours to explore. We caught the local bus to Piran which is along the coast. Well worth it. Walk straight through the old town to the main road. The local buses are across the main road. €3.10 each. the journey takes 30 mins along the coast road - beautiful - through Isola, Portoroz and finishes at Piran. This used to be a fishing port ...
