First stop with Disco 2 is Koper, Slovenia. A place I never thought I’d visit. I’m glad I did. We had a lovely walk around Koper then we went to the bus station and got the bus to Piran which cost €2.60 each way (so a lot cheaper than the tours being touted at the start) Got to Piran and we went to the seafront, past the church, up the bell tower at midday to hear the bells €2 entry then to the wall €2 entry. Finally having a lovely lunch before getting the bus back again. A lovely day Read Less

The ship pulls into a lovely town full of shops and restaurants. We took a taxi ride (15 euro) to a local seaside resort called Izola - I highly recommend you do the same. It's a Riviera-style coast full of pretty coloured buildings and bustling with European tourists sunbathing along the walls. A great spot for lunch. Read Less

Again, we arranged our tour off the ship. Rented a car and toured the caves and castle. Both were fantastic, but especially the castle with its many rooms and beautiful views of the valley. Slovenia is a beautiful, clean country with equally beautiful people. I would live here - especially now when our country is being ruined by Trump. Read Less
