I have been cruising for quite a few years so much so that I have been lucky to have been to almost all the ports in North America, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe. I, not long ago came back from a cruise in South America visiting Chile , Argentina and Buenos Aires and all ports in between including Port Stanley in Falkland Islands. I wanted to see Japan, S. Korea and Taiwan and the ...

On June 13-23, 2017, my wife, 11 year old daughter, 8 year old son and I sailed on the Diamond Princess out of Kobe. This was my 19th cruise, and I have sailed on RCCL, Princess, Disney, and NCL previously. We then joined the ship at Kobe for the cruise after which we spent another night in Osaka before flying home. It was our hope that the trip would give us an introduction to Japanese culture as well as being interesting, stimulating and enjoyable. Looking back I would have to say that ...

We chose this holiday for the itinerary as Japan was one of my bucket list places to go. It was actually a holiday of 2 halves as the first 6 days consisted of an escorted land tour with Wendy Woo tours. We saw lots of interesting places on this part of the holiday and really enjoyed being immersed in this totally different culture but it was quite intensive so it was nice to look forward to a ...
