We did a ship tour to Curonian Spit - lovely to see but I'm reminded why I don't like doing tours. Why is there always a couple of people who think it's OK to be late or to try to change the intin?

We took the excursion that takes you to the Curonian Spit, Juodkrante and then Nida. I really wish we could have spent more time in the Spit area and then just go to Nida. In 5.5 hours there was just too much to explore and you could not really feel anything. There might be a tour with just these two and you will be better off taking that :) Read Less

Visited on our own. Interestingly, the cruise offered a $28 per person tour to go to the beach. However, for 2 Euros, roundtrip, you can go to the beach on a ferry from the adjacent pier. Once there, you rent an umbrella and lounge chair for 6 Euros. The beach is a really nice, fine sand beach. There was snack and refreshment shop on the beach. Read Less

We spent time walking through the old city spending time in the market and listened to folk music. Relaxing day in a port-intensive cruise.

Tour was ok, but hard for some people to keep up and therefore miss a lot of what the guide is saying. Oceania needs to invest in tour communication devices!!!
