We explored Key West with friends who we were traveling with that knew the island well. We saw the key sights such as Hemmingway's House and the southern most point; had Key Lime pie at Blue Heaven and walked Duval Street stopping at a few bars for drinks and galleries. Key West is not much of a beach town but it is a great place to people watch and enjoying a cocktail or two while walking about. ...

We rented bikes and just spent the day touring around the island by ourselves. We went to mass at the Basilica - very pretty. Then we went to the Butterfly Conservatory, which I highly recommend. Then lunch at the Southernmost Cafe - delicious and a great view. After that we rode over to Fort Zachary Taylor since we heard it was the prettiest beach. It was very nice, and well worth the $5 to get ...

Key West was amazing and we can't wait to get there again soon! Only did the Old Time Trolley and booked this once we got off the ship. Loved the flexibility of getting on and off. We ate at the Southernmost Café and it was delicious and a great value. Very family friendly and within close walking distance to the photo op at the buoy. ...

Key West can be whatever you want it to be. There are plenty of excursions, but it's also a safe town for walking and exploring. It's America so our cellphones worked and we were able to use the GPS function to walk from location to location. From the ship we went to the Harry Truman Little White House and looked at the free exhibits skipping the tour because our 4 year old daughter would have ...

In Key West we went by ourselves to the Kayak Kings to kayak through the mangroves. Can't recommend them enough, loved the trip, but price wise cost us as much as the holland America excursion to kayak once you factored in the cost of the taxis. KEy West itself is beautiful and we had lunch in town after our kayaking and wandered a bit. ...

We've been to KeyWest on several different cruises so rather then do a tour we rented a scooter and drive around the island on our own. It was a GREAT time and cheaper then most excursions you can book through the cruise line. ...

We've been here many times. It's a bit crazy for me but if you go off the beaten path you can see lovely homes and beautiful plants. There are seedy areas too. We walked to Ft Zachary StatePark. There's a nice beach for families there and you can snorkel too. Mallory square area is pretty with lots of shopping. If you research you can find something to do. ...
