The ship seesaws its way into Nawiliwili Harbor, a challenge for any ship's captain. The cruise terminal is in a warehouse and there are shuttles outside for shoppers and rental cars. I've been here before, so I rented a car to bum around the island for a few hours. Big time rain ruined any chance of a good port stop.
Took the free shuttle to Hilo Hatties (it's not supposed to be WalMart shoppers) and we did shop there and then walked next door to Walmart and resupplied. Last real chance to buy stuff at reasonable prices until the South Pacific.

We did a private tour through Princeville Ranch. You'll have to rent a car and it's about an hour drive from the ship, but was hands down our favorite excursion. We went on the Jungle Valley Adventure which included kayaking, hiking, zip lining and swimming. A full day of fun and adventure with great guide - hugely recommended!! ...
