Dive was canceled due to bad weather, I can appreciate this. We used our rental car to drive to Waimea Canyon and Kona Coffee factor. Great time and much cheaper by car rental than with cruise ship tour!

Rented a car and saw several waterfalls and lookouts enroute to Wiamea Canyon before rain came. Then went to Poipu Beach which was nice but kind of rough.

Walked to the Marriott, as had been suggesting by the Hawaiian guide on the ship. A nice place to relax and have a drink.

Really enjoyed our time there. Free shuttles to town, to shopping, etc. Good walkways from the ship. Nice beaches. Not too many people. Loved it!

Kauai was my favorite port of all. We had a full day of hiking and some beautiful scenery and we actually went with a young married couple we met on the ship. They were nice enough to share their rental with us and we all had an all around amazing day! Kauai was one of two ports we stayed docked at overnight so we went to a bar that evening (Cafe Portofino) that was recommended to us from the ship's bartenders. We had a blast and I didn't get back to my room until 6am the next morning. Well worth the hangover lol. Read Less

We did rent a car from Enterprise Car Rental (Excellent) and drove to Princeville for a round of golf on our first day. Got recommendations from the concierge Guy on the cruise ship about where to eat. We ate breakfast at Olympic Grill and the Lava Lave Grill. Highly recommend both places. If you order the pancakes at Olympic grill, they will cover the plate. Bet you can't eat one!!! Lava Lava Grill had the best Bleu Cheese stuffed burger and it too is BIG!! Read Less
