We rented a car. The beaches were very rocky and some were too rough for swimming. Study the beaches before you go. Maybe a tour of the canyon area would have been a better choice? ...

Again- visited our favorite beaches in Poipu. The waves at Brenneckes were massive as they are usually when we visit. I have scrapes and bruises from the rocks to prove it, but it was a blast. ...

We rented car. Shuttle picked us up at pier. We drove through Waimea canyon and stopped at all the observation points. Breathtaking! Went to Opaekaa falls and Wailua River state park. Didn't get to fern grotto because only way was via a boat on the river. We swam at Poipu beach. The ship sailed along the Napoli coastline. It was beautiful! ...

SO GORGEOUS! This is the island where the movies are filmed - Avatar, Jurassic park, to name a few. The cruise even had a movie tour that took you around to where these movies were filmed. We did it ourselves, and drove around the island in the span of 2 days. Visited Waimea Canyon, which is BEAUTIFUL. All the sights were easy to drive to, scenic points all around the island. When you're driving, ...
