Very pretty stop but a mile or so from the city - merchants ran free shuttles to their stores which we utilized. Coolest weather of our Hawaii ports - not a tender. We got off and did some walking near the ship - enjoyed the grounds of the Kauai Marriott hotel. Shops we saw had very little to offer that was new or interesting and we have been to Kauai several times prior. ...

Kaua'i is not an island you can experience in just 1.5 days! On our first day, we rented paddle boards and paddled Wailua River, then we drove up to Hanalei (a place deserving of several days itself). On the second day, we didn't have time to do much of anything so just wandered some local beaches and ducked into some shops. Luckily, the husband and I were able to return to Kaua'i for three days ...
