Nothing here accept the Olympic ruins. We feel that once you have seen several ruins it's no longer a big deal. The ship charges quite a bit for their tour but we noticed local tours with tix and transportation for 20 euros, check it

Tender port, horrendous experience. Totally disorganised. No sooner ashore than we had to queue to get back. Few tourist shops and bars but little else.

Not much here but shops and cages I would recommend staying on board if you have not booked an excursion.

We were going to take an excursion to the Olympic site but a lovely Irish couple told us for 10 euro you can take a bus just outside the port and they'll have you back before the ship leaves. However, we ended up taking the train (6 minutes walk from the port but it's a very small station so ask someone where it is).The Olympic site was a bit disappointing as it's a bunch of fallen rocks and a lot of imagination but there isn't much else to do in Katakolon. Did not go on the Olympia excursion but was told it was nothing special. This port was not very memorable, nothing to check out in the small port town, just a row of souvenir shops. Port 3, Parga, was FAR better was the next port, Parga. (Parga is not listed as a port selection) A charming hillside town reminiscent of Portofino. Very picturesque, lots of places to walk. We went up to the fortress and down to the beach. Beautiful views and interesting shops and cafes. I'd rate Parga a 5. Read Less

Not a lot going for it unless one takes in the "Ancient Greece" trip. Some wonderful beaches to the south but not enough time at this port to allow.

Not much in this port....need alot of time to get to places worth checking out. I have always loved Greece though, so anytime on the mainland is good. The Peloponnese should be done by car.

Cute, touristy town that is a 5 minute walk. Nothing much to see except Olympia, which, if you don't care passionately, isn't worth leaving the boat for.
