We were one of the first off the ship. There were taxis waiting outside and a lady who was organising where everyone wanted to go. We went to Agios Andreas beach which was a 30 euro round trip by taxi and took about 10 mins. Umbrellas and sun loungers were free on the beach but you had to buy something to drink from the hotel bar. A bottle of water was only 1 euro though. It's a little rocky but the kids enjoyed it. We got there early so there was no-one there. Read Less

The ship docked right in the port so it's about a 10 min walk into the town (the ship does organized trips to Olympia if you are not confident of exploring) (or there were loads of coaches offering trips to Olympia or various other tours. Having done research beforehand we knew there was a trolley train that took you to a winery then a beach. To locate this go right to the end of the main street, turn right, and they are located there (the winery is not bad, did not get off at the beach as it was about to rain). Nice touristy shopping in the town. Read Less

Ignore tours and taxis and take private coaches (end of pier) to destination. Cost €10 return (45 ks distance) Entry further 12€ if senior use euro health card as proof -half price to here and Acropolis. The coaches spend 2.5 hours which is about right at Olympia. Suggest site first then main museum(10/10) as it gets v hot. Secondary museum adjacent to coach stop a bit contrived (6/10). Tour at more than €100 didn't have time to visit main museum as it was visiting a winery (Greek wine?)...... Read Less

It took so long to tender to the port that we didn't have time to go to Olympia. We went to the little shops and the beach near the port. It was a great day.

Small tiny port, which restaurants and tourists shops. We didn't do an excursion due to time concerns and the heat, but had a lovely lunch and walk about town.

What a great place! We docked within walking distance to the fishing port shops and there were loads of them not just tourist stuff ie junk but some decent stuff too. Loads of cafes etc and simply idyllic . No hassling from shopkeepers and a great attitude. Worth a little discussion on price since there seems to be a cash price and a higher credit card price. This was a great stop. Loved it and the coffee was great also Read Less
