Cabin was clean and comfortable. Staff was attentive but not as professional as European or Asian staff. Mostly young people that get switched around on their ships all the time.
I was told by cruise line staff that specialty coffees were available which was not the case. Hotel manager said they used to have a machine but was taken away during COVID and never brought back. Buffet food was ...
First time to Alaska, ship and staff were great. Excursions were great also I did quite a few. Now the downer side. We have cruised with American cruise lines before on a Mississippi river cruise from New Orleans to St Louis. The food was of high end and fabulous. Large bacon wrapped scallops, crab stuffed lobster tail cajun crawfish etc. The Alaskan trip no crab the whole trip no snow crab ...
Eager to travel after the restrictions of the past year and a half, we chose this small ship Alaskan cruise. We had visited Alaska four times before, always on large cruise ships.
We had taken one other ACL trip - Lewis & Clark, the Columbia and Snake Rivers. There were some "issues" on that trip - ACL seems to suffer communication deficiencies, but we were willing to try them again.
I ...
We did the Inside Passage trip. We chose this trip mainly because of Glacier Bay and this one location made the whole trip worth it. Overall, the scenery and wildlife on this trip cannot be beat. However, I was very disappointed in the organization and planning of this trip. For as expensive as this trip is, I do believe that the customers deserve more.
The trip started in Sitka. The transport ...
We had a 9 day cruise with Alaskan Dream Cruises in 2013 which was exquisite - a 9 out of10. If we had not had that experience as a comparison we might have rated this current cruise higher. But, unfortunately they have slipped a notch or two. Maybe now a 7 out of 10 - not bad, but not the wonderful experience we had in 2013.
The crew are still very friendly and helpful. The captain still ...
I joined this cruise as part of a family reunion and had no hand in picking this particular voyage. I also didn't pay for it! Nice deal! As this is my first cruise, I don't have a point of comparison and so may be unfairly critical.
Ship: well-designed, relaxed but somewhat luxurious feel to it. They have a great sustainability effort throughout, giving you a NatGeo water bottle with refill ...
After having cruised Alaska last year with Celebrity we wanted to try a smaller ship for the off the path stops. The Constellation was just the size we were looking for. The precruise hotel was an old one. While billed as a 3 star I certainly wouldn't give it that rating. A clean road side motel more accurately describes the "Prospector" now owned by Ramada Wyndham As others have noted the ...
We chose this cruise hoping to find a method of travel and cruise line that would work okay for person of limited mobility.
Sadly, we felt that this trip was overpriced, and that we were misled by sales people.
The Spirit is in need of refurbishing. The salesperson I spoke with said it had been done. The cabin was clean enough, but I have traveled on much older vessels that were more ...
I chose this cruise because a friend had wonderful experiences with this line and I loved the itenerary. However, I did not ask all the right questions and those I asked of the company were not answered with completeness or accurate knowledge of the ship. My husband is disabled and I notified the staff that we would be arriving with walker and wheelchair... no problem, they said. WRONG! The ...
I was looking for an adventure cruise on a small ship with a focus on glaciers and wildlife. Weather in Sept was wet, cold, rough and windy. We saw almost no wildlife - 2 bears on a beach 3/4 of a mile away and only humpback whales from a considerable distance - literally nothing else. Food was excellent, crew was very accommodating. The owner of the cruise line was on board and altogether too ...
