Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

I recently returned from a one week cruise from Istanbul to Rome on the Equinox. I have not been on Celebrity in awhile although this was my eleventh cruise on Celebrity. (BTW, I only have 330 Captain's Club points and am at Elite status needing over 400 points to the next level. Eleven cruises, one a 14 day cruise in the Penthouse suite and one in a Royal suite, never less than a veranda, ...

Review for a Greece Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

This cruise was from Istanbul Turkey to the Greek Islands and Athens and back to Istanbul. good itinerary (just what we wanted) and all in all the ship was good with a vary friendly staff. We chose MY TIME dinning as we thought we could go down and eat when we were ready, however this option only allowed you to choose a half hour window to go to the dinning room. We did eat in the dinning room ...

True - we had a terrific deal through our agents Cruise Nation, paying only £699 for a 10 night cruise (including flights and a 2nt stop in Istanbul). I'm glad we booked via an agent, as any queries I had prior to boarding went unanswered by RCI. (On land customer service = 0) Check in at Istanbul was "organised chaos" and took almost 2 hours (with some passengers claiming a 4 hour wait). In ...

Imagine Cruising sourced this vessel for our 60th birthdays. Package inc 2 nights in a hotel that felt like it was located in Albania...so far from old city Istanbul was it.Joining the ship was a bad experience but on reflection is probably in keeping with a 3rd world country. After scrambles and much queuing we got our cabin on deck 7. It was fine considering this is not a young ship. Yes we were ...

Not expecting this to be an outstanding cruise from the other reviews we were not disappointed! Fairly experienced cruisers, we have been on much better ships ,and sadly for the price paid we were not impressed with the quote "Beautiful Rhapsody of the seas"as we were reminded every day on the ships messaging announcement! The ship is generally older and all the less impressive for that with ...

Review for a Europe - Black Sea Cruise on Star Pride

We've traveled on Windstar Sailing ships for 22 years. We've also been on the Pride when it was a Seabourn ship. It is not in top condition under Windstar's operation. Our cabin had rust stains in the window area, around the bathtub and the carpet looked worn. The tub was not draining when we checked in on day one. After reporting that and the stuck shower control those items were fixed. ...

Not Worth It

Everything about this cruise is mediocre. This is our 6th cruise and it just didnt do it for us. If not for our room butler Rey, this cruise was a let-down. To make matters worse, we ordered steaks three times and requested medium rare, and all three times medium to medium well arrived. (I thought maybe it will improve!) On our last evening at Le Champagne, my friend's spouse and my wife ordered ...

Review for a Greece Cruise on Azamara Journey

This was our first cruise with Azamara. We wanted the smaller ship experience and have to admit we liked it. We chose this cruise for the itinerary and a special price - double upgrade to a verandah cabin. The ship was nice, clean and fortunately well functioning. (We had heard stories of plumbing problems.) The staff was generally friendly and the food was good. The food and service were ...

We enjoyed our recent cruise on the Azamara Journey. The staff is outstanding, very friendly and seem to actively anticipate our needs and wants. This is very different from a lot of the other cruises we have been on (14 in the last 4 years). However, when we were last on an Azamara cruise two years ago, we raved about the food served in the Dining Room. We thought it was wonderful. Not ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Viking Star

User Avatar

We choose this cruise since it was the maiden voyage of Viking's first cruise ship. The moment we entered the stateroom I felt it was smaller than their advertised size. We have been on more than 15 cruises and I had a feel for the sizes based of stated square footage. In our stateroom, 3020, two people could not pass between the wall and the bed at the same time and you had to move the table in ...
