First, let me say that I really enjoyed my 9 day cruise on Ponant’s Le Jacques Cartier. The trip started in Istanbul and ended in Venice. It is the little things That set voyages and companies apart. Viking is good at many, but not all. Our outside cabin was great - spacious, heaps of storage space, excellent bathroom with non-stick shower screen and screened toilet. Buffet offered great choices but the decor needs updating. We chose this cruise because of the exciting ports we visited. We visited Israel and it was an amazing place. We stayed over night in Jerusalem and felt quite safe. The place is so full of history and is so powerful, just loved it.
