Again we did our own excursion - we took a cab to near the top of old town for less than the price of the ship cruise shuttle for two. Enjoyed walking around old town and the Cathedral. So many options in Ibiza - you can take the shuttle from the pier to the beach for 5 euro - but our weather wasn't the best so didn't do that. Read Less

Very pretty town and we just had fun walking around and having lunch out. Recommend that you take one of the shuttle buses into town or you can sign up for something at the dock

Experience was coloured by the fact that it was raining (heavily) when we got there and continued to do so all morning. Nevertheless, kitted out in our wet weather gear, we explored thoroughly making our way up to the Cathedral and heights beyond that. The town was fairly deserted because of the weather but later (a) as the rain stopped and (b) people started to wake up it started to come to life. Read Less

We didn't get off the ship until late morning due to uncooperative weather. We had planned a beach day, but it didn't happen, so we took ship's shuttle downtown and went shopping and had lunch. Lots of fun!

We explored the old/new city ourselves on foot (to allow for a little retail therapy again). I particularly enjoyed seeing the Figuretas beach near the old town. My wife felt like she was missing Ibiza, and so we caught the #11 bus to Ses Salinas beach 30 minutes away. The latter was chaotic and had no special atmosphere I could discern. The bus ride did give us a better idea of the island and how much DJ shows influence life there. Read Less

We did go up to the fort and walk around the area but could easily have substituted this port for a day at sea. Read Less

Ship transfer, which only goes to the new town (half the distance) was €8 pp each way....much more expensive. A tour is not necessary as there are plenty of information boards up in the Old Town. Strolled back through the town for tapas and shopping then leisurely walk on flat ground back to the ship. Read Less
