Docked at a working dock which always made for fascinating viewing for us watching the ships being loaded and unloaded of products. Took the shuttle into a small area that was about 15 minutes from the ship. It was set up very nice with booths of local vendors, a large central covered area where you could relax and get something to eat or drink which was very nice. The vendors were not quite as aggressive as those walking the in the streets but were very nice and easy to bargain with. Read Less

Very pretty place. Did the land and sea excursion. On the boat tour we were offered refreshments and snacks. It was a bit frustrating at times because other passengers stood at the front taking pictures while limiting the view for those with limited mobility. Bus tour was okay. We stopped at a small market before heading back to the ship. Read Less

Took a Land & Sea tour through Princess. The contractor was very disorganized and the tour started and finished one hour late. Would recommend private land and boat taxi to see same sights.

We did an off beaten path with a visit to family run chocolate factory which was quite interesting and lots of tasting. Family was so friendly. Next we went into a mezcal tasting room. Quite enjoyable and lots of new tastes. Our visit to Mazunte cosmetics factory was very different. Products all organic and great smells and textures. To the surfer beach to have a snack which was actually 3 Oaxacan cheese tacos served with rice, chips and bean dip. We paid for our own drinks. Truely a hippie dippie, laid back surfer beach, a beautiful place to cool off and enjoy the beach ambiance. Only 8 of us in a comfortable van so a real highlight! Read Less

What a charming area! We toured the Copalita Ecological Park in the morning. The guide's English and organizational skills were lacking, but the park has it's own interests (Boat billed herons! Mot mot birds!). In the afternoon we took the La Cruecita town tour. We really enjoyed the weaving/dying discussion and the tacos and beer (it HAD been a long day) just before the end. Next time, though, we would take a snorkel trip. Read Less

This port was still a mystery to us, no one had ever heard of it before. The coastal city was about halfway between Acapulco and Puerto Vallarta. The port and nearby area appeared to be under development. It didn’t seem that extensive development had take place. The small coastal town was rather new and tidy, clearly geared toward tourism. The coastal area was very scenic, and our tour with Enrique’s Tours focused on finding the most scenic places for us to visit. Barb had organized this tour for us. Our first stop was near a lighthouse (abandoned) at the top of the cliff overlooking the ocean and the port. Also, Enrique took us to visit to a nice beach, as well as his small village a few miles from Huatulco. We learned that Enrique had lived in Ohio for several years, saving his money to come home and start a business. He provided us with as good a tour as could be made for this area. Some people took tours that went into the interior, higher up into the mountains, as we had done in Ecuador and Costa Rica. Read Less

On the Copalita Archaeological excursion you see the museum and the site. It was a good excursion. Our guide didn't have very good English but he had passion and local flair. So I rated him well. This could be an exceptional tour with the right English speaking guide. They divide the bus up into two groups. The other guide didn't seem that great either so there is likely a shortage of knowledgeable guides available. If you can find a well recommended private tour then I would suggest that. Read Less

-Huatulco Mexico~Absolutely loved Huatulco.. we did a boat cruise that took us to all the bays and the man in the rocks, and other sights to see. Then went to Entrega and went snorkeling with our tour captain. it was just us 6 in our group, and it was exceptional!!! Snorkeling was only about $5 per person..with all the gear. He was great and snorkeled with us, actually towed us around holding a line on a floating ring and went and got different fish and we fed then and we went all along the bay amazed by the coral.. just the best time! The water was wonderful with no currents or waves really in that bay. The coral is literally steps from the beach. This is the place I would recommend you go in the water or relax on the beach. we also enjoyed some great food at great prices, right on the beach.. huge and delicious shrimp cocktails and drinks.. just the best place!
