Amazing experience!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Westerdam

4 of us took a family trip on the Westerdam from Hong Kong to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Singapore. Excellent value for money -- the food and service was great and we enjoyed all the ports. There was a good mix of people on the cruise and it was a nice change to experience Christmas and New Years on a ship. Our rooms were between mid-ship and aft on deck 4, and we didn't have any issues at ...

Amazing Ports

First time visiting Asia. This itinerary covered the most countries of all we reviewed. Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Singapore. Nice combination of port and sea days. Love being able to visit many countries and unpack only once. Ship only held 1900 passengers so it was a nice size. Sit down dinner in the evening with good high quality food. Open seating allowed us to eat when we ...

We are a family of five with three young people aged 19, 17 and 16 and chose this cruise to celebrate our son's completion of high school. He wanted to visit Hong Kong and go on a cruise from Hong Kong. We spent 6 days in Hong Kong prior to boarding the ship. This was a good amount of time to explore Hong Kong. Embarkation was smooth although the customs process onboard, before leaving port ...

Overall very good cruise, some issues

Review for a Asia Cruise on Viking Orion

I chose Viking for a cruise around New Zealand ending at Sydney, Australia because I wanted the experience that Viking provided. Viking caters to adults, does not have a casino and includes a number of things in the price of the cruise that are ala cartel on other cruise lines. Wi-fi, drinks with meals and one excursion in each port are all included. Unfortunately, the included excursions could ...

Turned out better than expected

Review for a Asia Cruise on Silver Shadow

After reading a number of mixed reviews, I had lowered my expectations going in, but was pleasantly surprised. Everything was clean and comfortable and relatively efficient. Although we had slight concern initially that the linens appeared to not have been changed after a few days, since I noticed the same blood stain from my husband’s-cut on his finger. Although the linens did not smell, I ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

We chose this cruise as an interesting initial itinerary attracted our attention. Unfortunately Boracay was changed due to its closure but we decided to continue anyway. The alternative port was Subic Bay was did not have very much to offer close by. I wouldn't really recommend Subic Bayu as a destination (nothing to do there) although the local people were very friendly. If you do go there try ...

We chose this cruise to celebrate a significant birthday of a close friend, there was a party of 10. Overall we were very happy with this beautiful ship, and the excellent service we are used to on RCL. We had been on Ovation before, on her maiden voyage through the Panama Canal and loved it then. This time was perhaps not so good, for example the menu was the same in each of the 4 dining rooms, ...

I wanted to try cruising in Asia for a change and choose this cruise with Ovation of the Seas. I was on Quantum's maiden voyage in 2014, but hadn't been on the Quantum class since. It was nice to be back onboard. Ship in general: Ovation has a nice and familiar atmosphere onboard, although I do prefer the layout on the Oasis class ships comparing to this one. There are many fun activities ...
