We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We explored our departure and ariival cities on our own. We used some of the ship's excursions and also those provided by Abercrombie & Kent.
The ship definitely needs to be refurbished - it's old and tired looking. The gym, spa and beauty parlor also needs to be modernized.

Not having cruised before, I wanted to try a short cruise from Hong Kong. I had an interior stateroom on deck 9 without a virtual balcony. I didn't mind this as I didn't plan to spend a lot of time in the room apart from sleeping or napping. I preferred to sit up on deck to watch the passing scenery. The China coastline along the way to Sanya was quite spectacular.

The ship and crew were excellent.Kamel was full of energy and fun.

Great Asia itinerary. Our room was very well kept with excellent room steward. Very clean and tidy throughout the ship. Overall ship temperature was very good. We are a mature couple. We enjoy cruising but tend to choose by the destinations we want to visit rather than cruising for cruising sake.
We flew into Hong Kong from Birmingham via Zurich. I booked the all flights independently making a 50% saving on the flight price quoted by Celebrity.
