It was pretty easy to take the free shuttle to the train station and take the train to the Atom Bomb Dome and Memorial Park. It is not to be missed. We walked down a side street and had a good meal at a small restaurant. ...

Don't bother taking an excursion. You can take the shuttle to the museum and then walk the park yourself. There is some great street shopping within walking distance of the museum. ...

If you are into history, this is the place for you to relive what happened on August 6, 1945. See the remnants of the one building remaining after the atomic bomb. Capture the thoughts of those who lived it at the Peace Memorial Museum. Visit a castle or gardens - these are plentiful and each very different throughout Japan. It is extremely easy to get around via streetcar - there's a one day ...
