Cheap...but not cheerful !

Review for a Cuba Cruise on MSC Opera

I would never book another cruise with this company ever again. Due to the recent hurricane, our flight got cancelled and we were stranded at Charles De Gaulle airport with little or no information for nearly a full day. MSC were extremely unprofessional in dealing with the hundred or so passengers that were supposed to be flying out on 9th September 2017. We eventually joined the ship in ...

Poor service, poor crew, poor food, and poor attitude on a dirty ship!

Having sailed with MSC before with little problem we chose this cruise round the Caribbean to 'fill some gaps' in the list of islands we hadn't visited. Firstly let me say that due to Hurricane Irma the cruise was altered to be in Cozumel for 2-3 days instead of Havana, and i have no gripes there. Safety first, after all! To the cruise................................. The ship ...

Outdated ship and poor activities

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Celestyal Crystal

We chose this cruise because it was going to Cuba. We joined a Road Scholar group that was on the ship. We also wanted to go to more than one port in Cuba and the big ships are only going to one port. There were about 150 people on board out of the 1200 that it will hold. Maybe because of this there were very few activities other than the mandatory Cuba lectures and activities. For some of the ...

We were sold the Aurora package which we were led to believe it included everything all food extra dining etc. We paid significantly more for this package. As soon as we boarded we were hit up to pay extra for the complete drinks package. The package we purchased onl provided house wine and basic beer. I would advise anyone going on a MSC cruise to not buy any package until the board the ship a ...

Terrible Service

Review for a Cuba Cruise on MSC Opera

I chose this cruise because of the destination. The service in the buffet dining room is terrible, it is hard to order drinks because the staff are mostly chatting with each other, or just walking around like a robot, they don't even check the tables if they are dirty, they go walk around not noticing anything. Once they have your drink order, it takes about 10 minutes to arrive. The food is ...

There were three things we liked about this cruise: the ship itself, the itinerary, and the cheerfulness of the long-suffering staff. That's where the good news ends. The root of the trouble was MSC itself, whose policy seems to us to be to pay for its ambitious fleet-building by screwing every last cent out of its operations. We experienced this in two ways: 1. Penny-pinching. If you think a ...

Beware of Fly-Cruise packages from MSC

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Armonia

This is the second time that my partner and I have bought Fly-Cruise packages for Transatlantic cruise from MSC - But never again. MSC does not allow any flexibility on your flight arrangements and therefore you have no personal time to enjoy the destination prior to boarding the cruise. Our experience of Miami a couple of years back was simply a bus ride from airport to seaport, and even ...

PAY the extra and get what you want ... the ship is clean the staff is good but the on board entertainment dose not compare to the other cruise lines .... the food is good but far form the other lines ... you ...

At Boarding we sat in the terminal for hours with no information or what was going on or when we could get on. Once we were on we didn't know if we needed a new visa to get off while in port so we stayed on the boat and missed out on Havana in fear of getting stuck ashore. Our rooms where not ready until 8pm. Once on the boat the music was not up beat enough, just made you sad and sleepy. I ...
