Beautiful!!! Yes you pay for food and drinks, but it goes to back to the people of Belize - and you can simply go back on the ship. The pool was large and wonderful.

Harvest Caye was lovely. We went on a boat to the rain forest via the Monkey River The guides did not have a microphone so it was hard to hear them over the motor on the boat. On the water a lot on this trip and in the rain forest for about a half hour. Bring bug spray. The guides tell you have to survive in the rain forest on the different plants and animals. Read Less

Beautiful Island, the sand is white but a little rough, I wish we had brought our water shoes. No snorkeling in the island unfortunately, and everything is expensive, even if you have a drink package. It does not work here.

This is fairly new island resort just off Belize built specifically for Norwegian and managed by the people of Belize. I have mixed feelings about Harvest Cay. On one hand, it’s just a long walk down the pier to a beach oasis with loads of palm trees and greenery, a huge pool, beach, water activities, bar, restaurant, gift shops, and everything you’d want from a relaxing beach day. On the other hand, if you are looking for an authentic Belize experience, it’s not here. To get that, you have to book a ship excursion or find your own way to the mainland. Unlike Norwegian’s private island, all food and drinks are extra, and you can’t use your key card for purchases because, as stated before, the resort is run by the locals. We went for a few hours first thing in the morning when they opened, and enjoyed the pool, where there was more shade. Lack of shade at the beach and the sign there warning about jellyfish stings was enough to choose the pool over the ocean. We did notice that the clamshells reservable in advance for a fee were located furthest away from the beach and situated side by side right up against the boardwalk in a long line down the beach. I’d be interested to know if they were worth it. Read Less

Really enjoyed the pool and beach area, lots of chairs. However I think those with beverage package should not have to pay for drinks while on Norwegian's private Island. The alcohol was way too pricey.

It was a pretty island but very crowded. Many souvenir shops and a large pool which was very crowded. We only spent 1.5 hours there then returned to ship.

Aside from the extreme delay and being lied to about using a tender; the port itself is very nice. Its expensive, but the free services like pool and nature exhibit are top notch. The lifeguards are not just warm bodies. They pay very close attention and will not hesitate to make people take 5min timeouts if they behave dangerously. Landshark is a typical tourist trap place with high prices but I found 3 other bar&grill places along the beach that had prices in the $$ range instead of the $$$ range for essentially burgers and chicken tenders.
