We took a cab to St. Anne's beach. It was a rainy type day, but still nice to go there. It was mostly just a lot of tourists. Water was nice, beach was nice, but I imagine if it was a hot sunny day it would have been very crowded.

Very good tour and beautiful gardens with a great tour guide. But.... Nothing that we could see to tell you they only took Euros and not dollars.

A little disappointing, we were a bit "beached out" by the time we arrived here so just walked into the local town. It was a bit run down and not as picturesque as the other islands. Also the port is very industrial.

The Slavery museum was outstanding. We also went to the cemetery, which was also fantastic to look at.

Thought we were going to the main island....ended up at Isles de Santes—very small and nothing to do. Beach was covered in seaweed and smelled terrible.

Plan on renting a golf cart or e-bike if you want to go anywhere here. Any of the beaches require pretty difficult navigation on foot from the road, and should not be attempted by people with bad knees. I have them. My knee dropped me in a doorway after we had walked all the way up and down the hill to the trailhead to Pain de Sucre. The island's medical team got me to the tender and the ship got me back aboard. I was grateful for their tremendous hospitality and the lovely shopkeeper at the Sucreier who called them for me. The island is beautiful and wild. Enjoy. Read Less

Terre-de-Haut: This was tender port which we had not visited before. Terre de Haut is a very tiny island. It is less than two and a half square miles. It has most of the population of the archipelago, but this population is less than 2000 souls. We took the tender in and spent some time watching the activity here. The place is a magnet for French tourists who want to spend time at the beach. Read Less

We took a transfer to this beach. This stop should be taken off the schedule. The beach was not nice and, I felt, not safe. Several people said the same thing about this beach.

Port A Pitre on a Sunday does not have much to offer. Most shops are closed. Also a port where many French speaking cruisers leave and join the cruise. Do visit the museum depicting the slave trade. Very impressive and moving.

We arrived a day early in Pointe-A-Pitre and toured the city on our own. After the cruise ended we stayed an additional four days and toured both islands by rental car.

Least favorite port. All out of English maps at the tourist booth, everything was in French, heavy security at this port - police with dogs at disembarkation and many police on bikes. We could not find anything and ended up haggling for a few souvenirs and going back to the ship. I do recommend trying the Ti Punch at the last bar nearest the ship - beware - it is potent!! I learned of it in my pre-cruise research of this port. If you go to this port, get euros in advance!!! Taxi drivers do not accept US cash. Due to this, we were unable to visit the recommended restaurant we wanted to try. The spice market was a nice experience but we were unsure about what we could bring back onboard so we just enjoyed the sights and smells. Read Less
