Took a 2 1/2 hour private taxi ride with driver Jimmy. He was great and shared a lot of information about Grenada. Well worth the money

Not real happy here as everyone had his hand out for money and it seemed like every venue charged for everything, including going to the bathroom. This is the one island I would not want to see again.

I loved Grenada with all of the spices, we bought a spice necklace to hang in the kitchen, we caught a boat to the local beach and it was really lovely.

We boarded a water taxi for a ride to the Grand Anse beach. ($5 each way.) The beach is beautiful with lots of places to rent chairs and umbrellas.

Friendly locals. Caught the usual water taxi to grand Anse and spent wonderful day soaking up the relaxing atmosphere. Cheap chairs and beer, killer rum punches and beach guys giving 100% service better than the ship!!

We rented a scooter. The island was VERY hard to navigate and smaller than it appears on the map, but we still had a great time!

Unfortunately they are building something large right smack on the water where the water taxi leaves you which is where the food and service is found. You can walk to the other end where it is much peaceful but there is no service. You can get the water taxi right next to the ship for $10 round trip. Read Less

Interesting island, had booked a tour from an outside vendor prior to sailing. Unfortunately we were only there until 2pm - would have liked more time to enjoy the beaches.

We wanted to go to Grand Anse beach, but rain changed our plans. We decided to walk around the town instead. People were all over you trying to take you for a 2 hour walking tour. After declining about a dozen sellers, I walked up to the fort on the right ($2 entrance fee). It is not in great repair like those in San Juan, but has beautiful views for photos. After leaving the back entrance from the fort, I wandered the town for several hours. I felt very safe and found many amazing things to take photos of. Read Less

We wandered onto the shore on our own. It was not a good walking tour as the historical sites were high on the hill (and very run down ruins) and walking in town was hazardous due to narrow streets and sidewalks with gutters between streets and sidewalks. Many times we felt unsafe amongst the local merchants. Good for purchasing local spices, however. Less expensive from the locals then in the stores. Read Less
