There is a long pier here but there are free (but tips appreciated) tuk tuk bicycle shuttles. The port area is nice and even has a lovely beach area. However, I took a tour from the ship since I had never been here before and there is nothing to see on this island. It is very poor with tourism their only industry. Be aware, this is not the “touristy” island … and perhaps I should have done my due diligence. We did an open tram tour, which consisted of our guide pointing out every salt lake and building (“There’s the variety store. There’s the hair salon”). Not too much in the way of history. The water here is amazing. We did the snorkeling and the stingray encounter. The boat is nice and they take you to a reef where you can snorkel for 45 minutes. It was a lot of fun and beautiful. They then take you to an area where stingrays are. One of the crew wrangles one and they let you take pics with it (they do feed it for the trouble).
