Grand Turk is always a great stop...we always love it. Not this time. After the hurricanes I guess things became damaged and not replaced. You now have different islanders whom have claimed whatever chairs they wanted....spray painted symbols all over them to designate theirs....and they now charge you $25 or more to rent the chairs. Some of these chairs are torn, ripped, and in bad shape and your going to charge me to use them, NO! More locals going up and down the beach trying to always sell you something. Alot of hair braiders, some carrying buckets of beers, some with a personal cooler trying to sell you water's or gatorade. We even had two men walking in and out of the water with two horses, asking if you wanted to ride. Overall very disappointed with the way this once beautiful stop has turned out. Read Less

We walked around and ended up at Margueritaville where there is a pool with a bar and music lots of fun watching all the people. We had a few drinks, then we returned to the ship.

Hate this place. Looks good and inviting from ship. Gets very crowded and there are small rocks in swimming area. Expensive bars and shops. Nothing much if you take taxi into town.

Favourite port stop on cruise. Ship docks right at port, very nicely set up area. A few good beach bars, great beach/ sand, pool, Starbucks coffee and some shops. We walked to Jacks Shack at far end of the beach purely due to wanting Jerk chicken, which was okay but not like Jamaican jerk. Drink prices were same as onboard. The crew from Crown Princess were all there on an organised staff day for lunch, so very busy. Would try some of the other places if we go back. Swimming pool was a great set up right next door to Margaritaville. Read Less

If you turn left after disembarking, you end up a crowded public beach. Instead, we turned right and ventured past the port area. We were able find a quiet beach area. There is not much to do in this port.

Gotta be honest I didn't think there was much to see there. I took a taxi tour. It was $35 they are readily available. There is a beach here but not as pristine as Half Moon Cay there is a pool at the port which was great!

We just hung out on the closest beach which is by the boat. If you hate being around smokers I suggest taking a taxi to another less crowded beach. That is my only complaint as we don't smoke and people lounging around us were all smokers. Smoking nonstop. So I just was in the water most of the time snorkeling. The snorkeling was good. Next time if we return to Grand Turk will pay for a snorkeling excursion. Read Less

Still a lot of damage from the hurricanes. Go to Jacks Shack for some of the best jerk chicken. This is where to run away to when your wife left you and took your dog.
