Do not take the cable car to the rock - it does not go anywhere. Take a taxi for an extensive rock tour. You can walk into town from the ship to access the shops - go through the gates at Casemates Square and the town centre is accessible from there. 20 mins walk from ship approx. ...

Gibralter is nice enough, but if you have already called there before, it's good to get your tax free gifts ...

We toured the town on foot but we had visited Gibraltar before ...

Such a regular port of call it really loses it's appeal. We arrived on a Sunday and quite a number of the stores were closed. Cigarettes and spirits widely available bt little else. They have built a new Duty Free Outlet since our last visit...but shop carefully as the prices are much dearer than the shops in town. Could manage without this Port of Call but it seems to be a must for most cruises ...
