Galveston is great. The food -- from seafood to Italian to Thai -- is outstanding. (Interestingly, back in the 1930's, the Mafia had a big presence in Galveston. Galveston is a nice pre or post cruise stay with museums and great restaurants. The Tremont Hotel is near the port and convenient to the historic downtown. Interesting sights are Bishop's Palace and the Bryan Museum. The San Luis Resort is located on Seawall Blvd and another upscale choice for a place to stay. ...

Very industrial. Traffic and parking was crazy, confusing, and disorganized. GPS was no help so more signs and organization would have been nice. Felt like there was a lot of U-turns and having to go down different streets to find our parking lot entrance. ...
