Carnival Breeze - Remarkably Unremarkable

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Breeze

We are regular Carnival cruisers having sailed on the Vista & Horizon (Vista Class), Magic (Dream Class) and the Spirit (Spirit Class). With this being a new ship for us, we were anticipating the usual excitement of exploring a different ship. I can say unequivocally the Breeze is the most underwhelming compared to the other ships we’ve sailed for a number of reasons. This review is for our ...

Good, Bad and Ugly

UGLY 1. Flatware not used by a previous diner such as your coffee spoon was wiped with a napkin and placed back on the table for the next dinner, Dinning Room 3. 2. Multiple room complaints of stools including ours not flushing (no activation when pushing button) and common area stools clogged as ship's vacuum system is not strong enough to handle the ship's 3000 toilets. BAD 1. ...

First cruise experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

My steward was amazing, but I will never cruise again. I feel like we spent our entire vacation waiting in lines. Whether it be waiting for a drink, waiting for food, waiting to get off the ship, waiting for an elevator, waiting in line for our excursion, or waiting in a line to get back to the ship/ on the ship after an extremely short excursion… I feel that my money would have been better spent ...

Will not use this cruise line again

This cruise was out of Galveston so we could drive to the port. Our daughter alerted our family to the "kids sail free" special so there were 8 adults, and 7 children: 11, 8, 6,5, 2 1/2, 16 months and 11 months. They discovered that "any time dining" meant that you could not go to the dining room until 6:45 p.m. or later and a reservation was required. The buffet did not have a kid friendly ...

Ship made for the Brochure but it’s not practical

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

This was our third cruise with NCL. The first cruise was on a Breakaway Plus Class and I give that a 5 out of 5. The second was the Pearl and we give that a 4 out of 5 but this new flagship Prima class is sadly a 2 out of 5. This is a brochure ship that it looks fun for all with the flashy race track (that takes up so much of the upper decks that you don’t see much sun) the pay mini golf and darts ...

Carnival Dream Review

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Dream

Carnival is obviously struggling to pay off its debt from the pandemic. I have never been on a cruise where there was so much disorganization, poor customer service, weary employees, ineffective systems, and general apathy. The Carnival Hub app is not very good. It does not show OBC at the onset of a cruise. It does not automatically transfer casino credits to your account. It does not ...

Disappointment

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

If you are old or like to read a book and play cards with yourself, this ship is for you. If you enjoy life and having fun, and enjoy seeing others have fun, this ship is not for you. Entertainment was awful. The main show (Donna Summers) is about the most depressing thing you could watch on a cruise. The racetrack is a complete waste of space. The cars are not fast enough to entertain a ...

Staff is Excellent, Ship is Boring

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Overall the staff is very professional and well trained. Entertainment leaves much to be desired and venues are far too small. Sid's Pour House seats about 80 on a 3,000+ ship. Unlike on the Getaway and the Breakaway, they have four children perform the vocals instead of actual musicians and three of the kids cannot sing on key. Also the kids believe they are also a comedy act; they are ...
