Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Carnival Sensation

This is a cargo port, why they stop here is a mystery. The closest shopping is a 15 minute bus ride and it is the same "stuff" as in Nassau. ...

Freeport, offered great excursions. Did the Lucayan Kayak trip. Very informational, and not as much kayaking as I would have liked. Was a 4-5 hour excursion for 109 per person. You become kind of bored with the talking after a while, and the highlights are the GOLD ROCK Beach, BEN's CAVE/Burial Mound Cave and the short while that you kayak, but other than that felt a little over priced for what ...

Freeport is an OK port...you must take either an excursion or a taxi to get into any really populated locale. But there is a new Del Sol and Cariloha right inside the port as well as a Senor Frog's. There are also some local shops for clothing and knick knacks...so you can still wander and do a little shopping...but mostly drinking and eating...we had fish tacos at Robinson's that were ...

nothing to do ... went to lucanya beach and took pictures. the hotel charges a day fee to use their chairs, horrible shuttle service that is touted by ncl - they cheated us and blamed it on the cruise line as well the water on lucanya beach by the hotel was extremely dirty. jet skiing that we arranged on our own was the only fun part. ...

The day at Freeport was nice but a bit windy so the Lucaya beach experience could have been a bit warmer. On the positive side, it was not crowded and the beach was very beautiful with white sands and azure waters. You have to take a taxi out of the port and into town. We got a friendly driver named Emmanuel who also served as an unpaid tour guide, and explained things along the way. The town ...

We wanted just a beach day. Since we live in Colorado and never get to go to the beach we chose the Ramada. For $5 each we got a taxi there. It was $10 for access to their beach and pools which included a chair. The beach wasn't the best I had been to but for the mountain girls it was adequate and their facilities were quite nice with sun and shade. We spent several hours there then went ...
