Freeport is unusual because the ship docks in a very industrial area. Other than a few shops right by the ship, you must sign up for a tour or take a harrowing taxi/van ride to Port Lucaya or another location. We enjoyed the shopping available at the dock. After eating lunch back on the ship, we did take a taxi ride about 20 minutes away to check out more shopping and a beach. Shared a cab with a few folk, $10 round trip, they give you small cards you use for your return, any cab will accept them . Went over to the Lucayan resort.
