Industrial port in an area that is known for safety and secuirty issues. Due to this we chose to only step off for a few minutes to look for that ever elusive Christmas ornament which we did find. This was a last minute change due to GSC not being available due to weather and was a disappointing change as we always look forward a relaxing day on the beach there. Read Less

Just some last minute shopping...I’ll say this, it was better then the last time we were there just because they have more there right off the ship then they used to.

No excursion booked with the ship. We went to a local public beach called Taino, about 25-30 mins from port. We chose to share a cab with other passengers. The cost was $14US each return, $5US each entrance fee, $16US to rent 2 lounge ... Read More

There was not much to do at the port. Feeeport has shipping cargos and straw markets. I took a taxi to Port Lucaya which was more straw markets. The public beach across from there was beautiful.

Not very much in the immediate vicinity of the port, would definitely suggest booking an excursion if you stop in Freeport

Oh dear! Not possible to easily access anywhere out of the port and immediate port area full of tat shops and loud bars.
