Some stuff to do right by the ship (Senor Frogs, a bunch of market stalls) but no beach in walking distance. You spend so little time in this port that it didn't matter. ...

We took a cab to Port Lucaya. It was a holiday there. Black Monday so many shops were closed. Hit the beach a little, did some shopping and played in the casino. ...
Took mini-bus/taxi over to Lucaya. 15 minute ride. $10 each round trip.
Very nice air-conditioned casino. Billy Joe's on Lucaya Beach!!! Conch Salad: $11/pint!! MADE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! Delicious! Rum punch: $8/16oz.
Straw market - heavy peddling!! Haggle with them. Most have the same stuff. Check out the nicer shops next door, too. ...
