We did the ship excursion "El Salto Hiking and Brewery". I wish the hike had been longer. They rate the experience as difficult, but I guess that's cruise-ship difficult. For two folks in late '50s in only moderate shape, this 2.25 mile roundtrip hike (with 3 stops for breaks) was not even remotely difficult. Ensenada was the port we briefly visited to comply with the requirement that the ship visit a port outside the US. The waterfront park at then end of the terminal was vibrant and thankfully free of "in your face" vendors.
Note: "$" is also the symbol for Mexican pesos. A $35 bag of popcorn in Ensenada is 35 pesos (about 1.75 US dollars), not 35 US dollars.
