We know there is legal reason for visiting this port but it really is a complete and utter waste of time and fuel and the town is a dump. It really is the time for the US to reconsider need for American ships to have visit a foreign port. ...
We were delayed arriving and we’re there for such a short visit it is hard to give a good review. However, there were shuttles available to town ( but walking not difficult) Once on the shuttle we were offered a $20 pp quick tour with a shopping stop and timely delivery back to ship. We did that and it was just right. ...
Didn't let off passengers until 4:30 and it was almost dark. Traveling alone, that was a no bueno for sure. Went for my Mexican vanilla then back to the ship. If we had gotten off on time, might get a higher rating. ...

There were touristy trinkets and clothing, and I might have enjoyed grabbing a beer, just to experience the town a bit, but we stayed on the shuttle and round-tripped it. ...
I last visited Ensenada 25 years ago. At the time the port smelled of sewage and disabled, old women were begging on most street corners. This time was entirely different. The city is cleaner and better maintain than San Diego. Everyone we met were pleasant and helpful. No evidence of poverty could be seen but that probably relates to the city's authorities. ...
