Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

The Riviera Cultural Center is about a 15 minute walk from the pier. It is a beautiful 1930's hotel. We watched a mariachi performance that included dancers. Also, the bar that supposedly invented the margarita is here, and you can enjoy one in the patio. We also visited Dona Engracia for a tour and tequila tasting. Highly recommended! ...

We would have gotten more out of this port had we booked a tour. There is not much to do in the city center, other than have a meal. ...

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Ensenada has a decent waterfront walk from the cruise port to the marina market area, with a large set of water fountains that do periodic shows. We found a hole-in-the-wall place that did excellent fish tacos. People were friendly. Overall, though, you can tell that the port stop is really just to meet the "international stop" bit of the US shipping rules. ...

I did not like Ensenada. It's very Americanized, expensive, and over-hyped, and the blowhole is blown out of proportion, food is meh- I would rather stay on the ship ...

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Radiance

We did the kayak tour of the blowhole. It was windy the water was rough, and chilly but we had a blast. The tour guides did a great job of navigation and they quickly knew who needed extra help and who could manage with minimal direction. As we had some experience with kayaks, we did not need to have someone constantly watching over us and this helped as there were others who clearly needed help ...

We had a great time on the adult-only wine tour of Guadalupe Valley in Ensenada. We went to two wineries, one large and one family-owned. We learned a lot about how to make wine and enjoyed the tastings. I thought the guided tour of the city on our way to and from the vineyards was really excellent. We learned a lot about the city and thought that the tour was a good overall value for the city ...
