We didn't know what to expect in Portoferraio but this ended up being one of our favorite ports. We walked the old city streets and hiked up to the Fort. Friendly people and gorgeous scenery.

Awful. Shops closed. Nothing historical; no beaches visible; most passengers tendered ashore stayed an hour and returned to the ship.

Interesting, busy, lots of waterfront restaurants. Certainly not a Portofino, Italy in charm or ambiance; yet still very enjoyable and easy to walk.

We moored in Portoferraio and had a lovely day walking around this pretty old town. You get some great views if you walk up the hills above town and see the views along the coast and over the harbour.

A very pretty little island. Well worth a visit. Drinks were expensive because of the strong Euro i.e. it cost £20+ Euro's for three large beers and one small beer.
