A beautiful city. The currency takes a bit of getting used to but we took a taxi to the old part of the city, and it was well worth the visit. The Croatian staff were rather hostile and don't like children picking things up, even if they are taking it to the till to buy it! We loved, loved, loved Dubrovnik!! Friendly people & great food! It was very crowded, but everyone was in good spirits, and polite and cordial on the streets. The old city was exquisite, with cobblestone streets so clean you could eat off of them. You MUST take the cable car ride (walking distance outside the city walls) to enjoy a breathtaking, panaoramic view of the city and the coast... ...
Tender port, but landing direct to the old city walls - Unesco site but well worth the visit a walk round the ancient walls a must - there are a couple of bars part way round ! Fantastic views.In the main few places take euros, but several stores have change bureus.
