Took ship's shuttle bus in & walked on our own. Went to Guinness Storehouse, very interesting & informative, would recommend. Then to bar where Irish coffee originated, again very interesting & fun. Just walk around town & return to ship for dinner. Next day we took shuttle to town again & visited Trinity College & Book of Kells - the book is more hype than substance but the old library was ...

Particularly in Dun Laoghaire where tenders were used to reach shore, many people missed their non-NCL excursions. I met a local friend here; no excursion. I had a tender pass for Group 8 and was able to join the tender around 10:30am, arriving into Dun Laoghaire around 11am. ...

We tender in at Dun Laoghaire. Tendring process was a nightmare, NCL really needs to step up their game here. Was able to get the 9 am train to Dublin and used to HO / HO bus. Found some of the stops where tourist traps but overall had a great time. Tendering back to the ship was better. NCL should have known that there was a large group of PAX with mobility issues aboard and additional help was ...

The first day we took a cab into town. Taking a cab each way for two of us was basically the same price as the Princess Shuttle. Do make sure the cab runs the meter. 2 of 4 cab drivers didn't and tried to overcharge us. We did our own walking tour of the city. We went to the Kehoe pub which was interesting. We also visited Dublin Castle. The next day we cabbed to the train station early ...

Dublin, Ireland: As the ship docks a way from town, we decided to take the NCL ($15usd) shuttle instead of trying to find our way by public transit. I had “googled map” a walk to the Molly Malone statue, the Spire, St. Margaret’s cathedral, Trinity College/Book of Kells, Temple Bar area, and Dublin Castle ($8eur). The Dublin Castle tour was excellent as we went underground to see the original ...
