Bus dropped us too far away from central Dublin to get to the walking tour we'd booked. It took us 40 minutes to get from drop off to the Spire!

Its a long walk from the drop off to the Tram/Bus. but we did the Hop of Hop on 2 day pass. Went to Guinness and Jamison Distillery both were excellent tours. Walked around Dublin and had some great food at Sheehan's.

Didn't take any excursions in Dublin; spent the two days on our own using Dublin's Big Bus hop-on, hop-off bus system---and I loved having two full days here, as there is so much to see. We visited the Guinness Storehouse---highly recommended---as well as Trinity College to see the Book of Kells---also highly recommended. We also toured the Museum of Natural History, which is fondly referred to as the "Stuffed Animal Zoo" because that is pretty much exactly what it is: there are no dioramas, etc., but rather a whole lot of taxidermied animals displayed in glass boxes---it's like the old cabinets of curiosities, aka a “museum of a museum”, but still fun. We walked all day from the ship into town and back. It was about 10 minutes into the city from the Port. Dublin has some beautiful historic spaces and no shortage of pubs to grab a guiness.

We had been to Dublin before and saw the sights. We walked off the ship. It was 3km or so to the city center. We decided to get thai massages and eat lunch at O'Neills Pub & Kitchen. Very good food for the price. We love that

Booked online for cheaper ticketing prices and no lines. My husband enjoyed this. I went along for the ride.

I had booked a tour through Elegant Irish Tours. We were so late into port that I did not expect them to show up, though they say they did. Another couple told us they had booked through Elegant Irish Tours also and did not locate the van so struck out on their own. This is not the fault of Princess Cruises but we told that some of the passengers did locate Elegant Irish Tours so we are not being offered a refund on this excursion. Those who did make it to the Trinity Libary to view the Book of Kells had the door shut in their faces due to the late arrival. Read Less

Because of mechanical issues, we didn't reach Dublin until mid-afternoon, which cancelled our tour to Powerscourt.

Rained for part of our time in port but we made sure we had our umbrellas. Wish hadn't rushed so much because of the rain and waited for it to stop so we could have had a meal in one of the pubs. We did Dublin on our own. Bought tickets for the Book of Kells in advance. Also saw the Archeological museum, and went to the Evensong service at St Patrick's Cathedral.
