No need for tour. We went to guiness, pubs in Temple Bar after Christchurch and St Patrick's cathedrals and Dublin Castle. Wish I had had time for Trinity college.

We used the Hop On Hop Off bus. Under normal circumstances, it would have been a good method of seeing the city sites. Unfortunately, our bus broke down. The driver repeatedly called his supervisor who kept saying that another bus would be there in 15 minutes. Over an hour later, after 3 other full busses went by, we finally crammed our way on to another full bus by refusing to accept no for an answer. We were so tired and discouraged that we returned to the ship. I still would recommend he Hop On , Hop Off bus but use the one that's run by the state, a 'Red' bus line as I remember it. There were plenty of them going by with lots of room while we waited in vain for our 'Green' bus. Read Less

Got the expensive shuttle at 14.00 USD each into the center. Maybe a Taxi would have been a better value option. Went to the Whiskey Museum for 17 EUR each. Its righ next door to Tourist information which is on the little maps they hand out at the port. The Museum is on the history or Irish Whiskey making. It is a great factual and funny moments guided tour and includes a tasting of 3 different whiskeys with comments on how they are different. Read Less

This was the replacement for the cancelled Icelandic stop and whilst it's good in itself, it wasn't where we'd paid to go.
