Did the hop on hop off bus tour. There are taxi's right up to the ship but the line can be long during peak times. The ship offers a transfer bus to downtown for 16 dollars.

We took a bus from the port into the city center and then walked around for the day. Visited the Irish Nutritional Art Museum, saw Molly Malone, stopped into a pub for fish & Chips, did some shopping. Thoroughly enjoyable.

We pottered about on our own taking in the sights and really enjoyed ourselves as there's so much to see even if you don't go in any museums, tourist attractions etc.

Bus dropped us too far away from central Dublin to get to the walking tour we'd booked. It took us 40 minutes to get from drop off to the Spire!

Its a long walk from the drop off to the Tram/Bus. but we did the Hop of Hop on 2 day pass. Went to Guinness and Jamison Distillery both were excellent tours. Walked around Dublin and had some great food at Sheehan's.
