The itinerary is what I want and the price is right. We enjoyed the following ports : Petra, Muscat, Ashdod ( Dead Sea ), Haifa ( Bahai garden ) and the passing of Suez cannel. The food is above average. The service is excellent in the Windjammer. We tried out three rock climbing and the staff are very helpful to encourage us to reach the top. We arrived in Dubai the day before the cruise an hour late as usual because of the Emirates flight yet again been late leaving Manchester? EK22 is never on time!

The Norwegian Star's itinerary was really good for this 20 day cruise. The ship was clean and always being worked on to keep it in tip top condition. We enjoyed the food in the main dining rooms. We picked this cruise because of the itinerary. We added six new country visits to our list. Although there has been some concerns on the security of Middle East and Sinai Peninsula, we felt that tourism should be safe. We chose this cruise as it visited countries I had not been to like Jordan, Israel and Crete. As we got closer to our sail date, we wondered if there would be itinerary changes due to international politics. We visited all countries on the itinerary with minor time changes for port arrival and departures.

Stayed in Dubai pre and post cruise, embarkation and disembarkation was smooth. We had a large interior cabin and had to ask for the bed to be split so that it was easier to get into the beds through the middle rather than the side.The cupboard doors and the drawers need updating, very noisy when opening and closing. Suez Canal transit was the motivating factor. Loved the idea of going to eight countries with unique culture, fantastic sights and great history. We highly recommend this type of itinerary to others. This was our second visit to Dubai, and was able to refresh our memories. Embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth as guests staying in Suites get special service.
