My first and last cruise

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Fantasia

First Time Cruiser • Age 30s

I was quite dubious about going on a cruise as it is far removed from the holidays I'm accustomed to. We flew from Dublin to Dubai and were met at the arrivals area by helpful MSC staff. They checked how long embarkation was taking and advised under 20mins so we got straight onto the coach and headed to the port (as opposed to heading into Dubai for the day). Once we arrived at the port, we ...

We did a cruise on the Vision of the seas from december 26 2016 to january 2 2017 from Dubai and going to Khasab (Oman), Muscat (Oman), Abu Dhabi and back to Dubai. The flights with QATAR airlines were excellent. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Internet city for 2 nights before the cruise, it was a perfect location to visit by walking the Palm, the Marina, the Burj Arab, the madeinat ...

Disappointing in every way

This was our 8th cruise - 4th with Royal Carribean . Standards have dropped dramatically . From start to finish my husband and I were upset and disappointed by the whole experience on this cruise. RC rep at airport unsure if we were going to hotel or pier to check in Once decided - Check in at the Le Meridien hotel ( to avoid Pier queues) was a shambles with inexperienced staff ...

We have gone on many cruises and by far this has been the worst My husband chose this cruise to go around Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Muscat from the moment we set foot on cruise everything started to go downhill. firstly they gave my kids room to someone else and would not get it for us till i personally went to the cabin myself and told the people to leave as they were in the wrong room. All of ...

Very guest unfriendly

Nice cabins, which were kept clean a few times during the day. But: * poor food (most of the times is was not warm) * poor space around the swimmingpool; it meant that on a sunny day we were forced to stay inside as there was simply no space left outside or we could just sit on the edge of the swimmingpool itself for the whole day. * very poor customer service. Especially because they ...

A very unsatisfactory experience

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

This was our first experience of having a cruise. I can honestly say we would never go on another cruise again. The staff were courteous and friendly though and helpful. We were bombarded from day 1 with sales pitches for different restaurants, art auctions, second hand watches and tours. The tours were outrageously priced and EVERYONE we spoke to was dissatisfied with the tours and the cost. ...

Cunard Shape Up or Ship Out

Our two night stay in the Marriot Marquis Dubai was a great success. We had a wonderful room with fantastic views and the food was excellent within the hotel especially the Indian Restaurant. We enjoyed the Miracle Gardens, the River Cruise the Mall and old Dubai. Even the coach tour on arrival was good but we were all very tired after such a long journey. We travelled with Imagine Cruising and ...

Never Again with Cunard!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

Having previously cruised on the Queen Victoria and the Queen Elizabeth in 2013, I thought that I would 'complete the set' by joining the QM2 on the final leg of her 2016 World Cruise from Dubai to Southampton. How things have deteriorated in 3 years! My 2013 experience of Cunard was excellent service from friendly staff in all areas and excellent food - even during a Force 10 gale. Not ...

I mostly agree with the points raised in previous reviews so will not repeat them but will add a few more. The good first Roy walker, Kelly Holmes and some of the speakers were good. Tom O' connor was quite good but past his best Some of the shows were good but others not to our taste Cabin steward did his best but cabin shabby and sheltered balcony not clean clumps of hair and dirt ...

Passing through the Suez canal

Review for a Middle East Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We chose the cruise as QM2 is the last ship of its type, also going through the Suez Canal. We ticked both of those boxes and that is the best we can say about the cruise. It was infact the worst cruise we have ever been on. Due to norovirus on ship we were refused entry to 2 ports and not allowed into Jordons waters. We have experienced this before but not on such a large scale, hundreds ...
