Huge Disappointment.

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Fantasia

The watered down orange juice at the embarkation terminal set the standard for the whole cruise. Embarkation was disorganized as was just about everything else to do with this cruise. It was our first cruise and mostly certainly our last with MSC. Everything seemed to be geared towards squeezing every last euro out of passengers. The food in the huge eating area at the stern of the ship ...

Small, tired ship on a great itinerary.

My wife and I are 30 and from the U.S., and took a 7-day "arabian" gulf (read: persian gulf) cruise for two reasons: First, we had an expiring RC credit that we had to use, and second, because the itinerary was awesome. We knew going into this that the Vision was an old, smaller ship, but we figured we would use the ship solely as a vehicle for lodging, food and transportation to take us around ...

Our travel agent recommended this cruise a bad choice. We have done up to 20 cruises and have to say MSC are the worst cruise line we have been on. Our room as fine , the food is catered for Italians, the staff was rude especially when the Italian staff realised you weren't Italian they just avoided us. The non Italian staff we met hated there jobs and told us that , the ones we talked to were ...

We chose this cruise to see this part of the world but while the ports were worth a visit the organised trips with RC were grossly over priced !!!!! Vision of the Sea is tired but the main crib is with the greed of RC like other reviews i found the amount of times we had to say no to photographs is out of order. After getting to our room i went for a shower only to find that there was no ...

Not the Vision that I had of the Cruise beforehand

I have just returned from a 7 day cruise out of Dubai on RCCL's Vision of the Seas. She is an older ship that carries 2,500 people. A size and age that I usually love. Sadly, Vision was rather tired. Despite the best attempts of the crew to keep her clean it never felt quite like they had succeeded. The food was a really mixed bag. At times it was excellent and other it was horrible. ...

We decided to try Royal Caribbean Arabian Gulf cruise because the weather in the area would be warm but not to hot at this time of year. The embarkation was not too bad, we arrived in Dubai about 7.30 after an overnight flight from London and had to wait till 11.00 to embark. the luggage arrived in our cabin about 6 PM. The ship is ideal size and still in good condition after the 2013 ...

Very Disappointing

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Norwegian Star

We went with friends who chose this cruise as they liked the itinerary, in particular, India. We found the public areas too crowded & too noisy. I guess you get what you pay for & this "Freestyle" cruise was obviously not a good choice for us. The 3 NCL excursions we took in India were very poor. In Mumbai, we arrived at what, for us would have been the highlight, the Museum to be told ...

Just got back from 21 day cruise on Norwegian Star Dubai to Singapore. Here are my thoughts and observations. 1. Great itinerary from Dubai, UAE/Oman, down the west cost of India, Sri Lanka. Malaysia, Phuket to Singapore 2. Smoking allowed in the casino – seepage of smoke onto hallways and rooms. Very noticeable. 3. Ultimate Beverage package does not include water or specialty ...

having cruised with rc before we were excited about boarding ovation, good job the itinary was good the ship was the worst we have been on the staff didn't know what they were doing, the pool was mainly coverd, not much entertainment, food was always the same & cold, never heard so many people complain about a ship, going back on celebrity, you have to book to go into the 270 lounge, bumping cars ...

For anyone travelling on a cruise ship for the first time I'm sure they will be suitably impressed and the ship is very well presented and of course great German engineering. For me the ship is too big with too many passengers - travelling up and down the crowded elevators seemed like I was in a commercial building going to work - and it's an all stops tour !!! We were constantly inundated with ...
