We enjoyed the places we visited on the cruise but not the ship - food was not great, very poor maintenance with rust everywhere, things broken and missing including furniture and chairs in lounges and public areas, and the office staff and management uncaring and not obliging. DUBAI TO YOKOHAMA MSC SPLENDIDA CRUISE SUMMARY AND COMMENTS
We recently went on the above cruise during the month of April 2018. I would like to make a few comments about what we found good and what we found not so good on the cruise.
As this was our fourth cruise with MSC we are in a position to compare and comment on what we found.

We were part of a Group travel to the Middle East (Dubai+Abu Dhabi+Sir Bani Was Island-UAE, Muscat-Oman for 14 days). We truly enjoyed our group travel but we cannot say we enjoyed Costa, the only positive out of the cruise is that they spoke French which is our first language but we also are fluent in English. Myself and wife booked this cruise because we wanted to cruise the Gulf..this would be our 3rd MSC cruise...but this one was totally insane.As Canadians we behave civilly and show respect to others....unfortunately the passenger make up of this ship are from various countries...and some are just pushy , uncivil rude obnoxiuos and unfriendly ...maybe they are just being gun shy(LOL)..I hope all are ...

We. Wanted to see this part of the world and the price was very reasonable .
But as always you get what you pay for.
The Bora Bora Buffet was the poorest selection of food we have encountered onboard .

We chose this because of the date and the weather at this times of year. My dh and I had cruised with costa before, my daughter and her son had not and never will again. I chose the cruise because i heard that it would good. To my dismay the service was bad, the staff over worked, food was terrible. The drinks package which we had was not worth it as most of the bars are closed all the time. I strongly think msc needs to treat their staff better so that would be more productive. I chose this trip because of the itinerary and Sil Seas reputation. We went to Abu Dhabi where were were looking forward to seeing the new Louvre; t it was closed on Monday when we arrived!!! Why weren't we told so that we could have gone there from Dubai where we had two days to spend?

We picked this so we could go to Petra. The other stops were useless--Athens on Easter Sunday? Everythihjng was closed. Israel on Good Friday? Everything was closed.
