200 inhabitants. Very poor community, so some passengers brought donations for the primary school (money, books, pens etc). 20 minute shoulder and neck massage on the beach for $10. Strenuous hike to the top of the hill to see the view. Snorkeling off the main beach is not good - few fish, no coral (unless you go further to the right, near the big rock) but plenty of sea grass. Beautiful island. We walked up the hill to the lookout and took a boat ride around the island. Wonderful people and plenty of stalls to buy souvenirs.

This island is a GEM, you are greeted by song and dance, they make you feel really welcome and their island is your island. We expected to say about 3 hours based on our other ports but ended up staying 5. We are not beach persons nor snorkelers but we passed the time. Did go for short dip though very refreshing. Not much to do but get to know the locals, walk the hill bring water, they also offered a boat ride around the island about 30 minutes not sure if that was USD or Fiji dollars. Around 11:00 a few set up grill smell really good but did not try, also several places to get a massage by the beach think that was $20. Either way I did not find they tried to rip you off. So save a few dollars and get you last purchases there. there is a 2 room school there and all kids were off for the holidays we brought our turn down chocolates over to the kids. Read Less

This is a typical tropical island with no commercial roads and traffic. Life moves on very quietly although for the 200 inhabitants we must have looked like an invading mob. They were most welcoming and sold their wares. I had a coconut and also tried their sweet pineapple and mango. Delicious. Walked on the beach. Then went back to the ship in the afternoon. Read Less

Beautiful Island. Great to walk around and up to the top for spectacular views. Crystal clear waters. Great place just to sit on the beach and relax. Very small island.
