This is where we opted to see the Great Barrier Reef from a Pontoon at Agincourt Reefs. It was a great experience, but with all the tendering to port, then the boat ride to Agincourt Reef and back, we only had around 3 hours at the reef. Lunch was finished about 1 ½ hours after we arrived, forcing you to either snorkel early and then have lunch or skip lunch. More details in advance would have ...
About a 40 minute trip by lifeboat to a local marina. Had a nice lunch, but not much to see in the local area. Time on shore, including transit was about four hours. Really not worth it. ...
Did the ship tour with Quicksilver out to outer reef for snorkeling. Very expensive but well run tour. Big group but didn’t feel like a big group due to lots of staff on boat and pontoon. All well organised pontoon activities. Blessed to have very calm seas for boat ride out and back to pontoon. Off Quicksilver boat and snorkeling within 15mins of arrival. Plenty of snorkeling gear & stinger ...
Slow tender. Ship excursion to Great Barrier Reef. One sales pitch after another. Not what was expected. Photos, helicopters, helmet dive, underwater scooter.
There was a snorkel pen that was crowded.
This was at Agincourt reef. 2 hour to and from ferry ride. Lunch was very good. ...
I did the ship excursion to the Wildlife Sanctuary where we were given morning tea and then free time to wander round the park and get close up with our native wildlife. You could get your pic taken with a koala, snake etc. if you wanted. We were given info about the area as we made our way to Daintree Village for lunch. Unfortunately, due to lack of staff there was only one cafe open so the usual ...
Terrible tender service to Port Douglas from the big ship. Princess needs to pay for more than 1 berth for tenders to be able to quickly offload passengers, instead of waiting for hours in the heat on crammed life raft boats with passengers crammed inside and on top (roasting in the hot sun for hours until they felt like vomiting). ...
To hot to commit to a lengthy excursion off the ship, but found a great one hour tour offered on the dock in an air conditioned mini coach. This was very good. ...
