Aviarius is very nice and worth the money. You get to walk on multiple suspension bridges to bird habits filled with colorful beautiful birds. The bridges allow give you a great view of the port and the dolphin swim exeperience. The food at El Faro was very good. Too many pushy sales people near the shops. ...

The Costa Maya port area has grown exponentially and is huge now. There is a faux Mayan Temple visible that is a water park. There were tons of taxis available ($4 per person to Majahaul each way). Of course no one has change so it is really $5 per unless you were prepared with change. When we first went, it was almost all dirt road from Costa Maya to Majahaul. I was prepared to buy at least another drink, but I think our seats were in between the server areas, because nobody ever asked me again in the two hours we were there. After swimming, we ...

It's nice to get off the ship and walk around the port area. ...
