Great tour of Killarney National Park and Muckross House. At Muckross, there is only time to do either a house tour or view the gardens, so be prepared to make a choice. We did the village of Cobh on our own and enjoyed it immensely. Lovely place to nose around. The Cathedral is worth the climb up the steep hill and the Irish coffee is wonderful. ...

I would love to go back to this area ...

Cobh is a quaint little town that is basically built on a hillside. There is a Heritage Center on the pier which contains shops, coffee shops, and bathrooms. Downtown ...
Lovely quaint town with character. Fantasic port as you dock literally 30 seconds walk from the town, the train station with direct trains to Cork etc
We took the train to Fota and went to the wildlife park. Its amazing, huge with many animals and loads of peacocks roaming free. Allow at least 3 hours as the walk around all the areas is about 4 miles. Saw Lions, Buffalo, Zebras, Monkeys, ...
