Great tour of Killarney National Park and Muckross House. At Muckross, there is only time to do either a house tour or view the gardens, so be prepared to make a choice. We had an OK lunch in Killarney and time for shopping - cute town. Our guide was fabulous, really did a great job describing Ireland and its issues. ...

We did the village of Cobh on our own and enjoyed it immensely. Lovely place to nose around. The Cathedral is worth the climb up the steep hill and the Irish coffee is wonderful. ...

Our family went on the excursion to House of Waterford Crystal & Lismore, and it was pretty good. The guide was excellent. The only problem was our visit was much too short. One of the best meals we had was at The Munster Bar across the street from Waterford Crystal. They have a Guinness and Steak Pie and fresh fish and chips that are outstanding. I would love to go back to this area ...

After two sea days, we arrived in Cobh/Cork on Wednesday, June 12th (58 degrees and occasional showers) around 10:00 a.m. The Cobh port is a 25 minute train ride from Cork (6.05 euros); the train station is adjacent to the pier. Cobh is a quaint little town that is basically built on a hillside. There is a Heritage Center on the pier which contains shops, coffee shops, and bathrooms. Downtown ...

Lovely quaint town with character. Fantasic port as you dock literally 30 seconds walk from the town, the train station with direct trains to Cork etc We took the train to Fota and went to the wildlife park. Its amazing, huge with many animals and loads of peacocks roaming free. Allow at least 3 hours as the walk around all the areas is about 4 miles. Saw Lions, Buffalo, Zebras, Monkeys, ...
